Pricing Metal Studs with our New Online Sales Platform
Table of Contents
Here at US Frame Factory, we are pleased to announce the launch of our online sales platform- a tool specifically designed to enhance your project planning and efficiency. Our straightforward online calculator allows you to generate quick and accurate quotes for framing materials such as metal studs, track, angles, and other cold-formed steel products. This tool offers the convenience of obtaining precise estimates on your own time, eliminating the need for phone calls during business hours or waiting for email responses. The calculator also includes sales tax and estimated shipping costs, providing a comprehensive picture of material cost for your projects.
Additionally, please note that you can order custom lengths at no extra cost, paying the same rate for the linear foot of material. This can lead to significant cost savings with zero waste framing practices. Further, our online platform features the capability to save and download your quotes, allowing you to generate csv or pdf files to share with your colleagues. See our tutorial below for a step by step process of how to start using this powerful tool today.
Accessing the System
When you access our online tool at shop.usframefactory.com you will be prompted to log-in to our updated system with improved product selection. There are several options available for creating an account including phone number, email address, or with your existing google account.

Starting a Quote
After you have logged in, you will be greeted with a dashboard screen that contains any current quotes you are working on. This functionality allows you to work on several different custom quotes at the same time, all with unique shipping estimation based on delivery zipcode.

To begin quoting a new job, select the “New Material Quote” button from the lefthand menu and put your project name and zipcode in to uniquely identify your quote and enable the shipping estimation function. For our example, we are using 78701 for Austin, TX.

Adding Items and Custom Lengths
After you have added your job title and location, you can begin adding material to your quote. Hit the dropdown menu under the “Type” column to choose from stud, track, other framing item, angle, and flat sheet.
If you need additional rows, use the “Add Row” button. To delete unnecessary rows, use the “X” button in the first column of the line.
Please note that you can order the custom lengths needed for your project at no additional cost. For example, 10 units of 12′ material will cost the same as 12 units of 10′ material (both options 120′ and are charged equally by linear foot). The ability to order precise lengths make it possible to practice zero waste framing, which improves worksite efficiency and reduces material waste.

Adding Other Framing Items
When you select “Other Framing Items” from the dropdown menu, you will be able to add the following items:
- Cold Rolled Channel
- Furring Channel
- Slotted Deflection Track
- Single Leg Resilient Channel
- Double Leg Resilient Channel
- C-H Stud Shaftwall System
- J-Runner Shaftwall System

Calculating Shipping
After you have finished adding all materials to your list, navigate back up to the top of the page and use the “Calculate Shipping” button on the righthand side of your screen to estimate shipping for your materials and add this cost to your overall quote. If you prefer to pick up your material, you can skip this step.

Downloading a Quote
After adding shipping (if applicaple) you can download your quote in either CSV or PDF format. CSV files will be editable within Microsoft Excel or similar software, while PDF files may be more appropriate for directly emailing to colleagues who are likely to view the quote on a mobile device.
